Re-invention World Tour 800x600

2004 was time for greatest hits tour. What a better name than Reinvention for the queen of disguise? So, in may Madonna started her new long awaited and controversial tour. This time around were not sex scene or blasphemous rumors to make the point, but the tour dates themselfes. Madonna snobbed usual countries like Italy, Spain, Germany, creating lot of disappointment, preferring to vist fans she never done before like Portugal's and Netherland's one!
Anyway once the show started everybody was happy: 5 stages, 25 songs from all her carreer, lots of screen, light, colors, acrobatics. The show was the second biggest grossing tour of the year (first was prince one), taking about 54.9 million dollars.
The show started with a reinvented Mariantoniette's look in wich Madonna stunned everybody with her yoga poses. Then was time for carnivalesque '20ties stage, very fun; Parisienne old fashioned look very '30thy, and for sure a tribute to her husban origins: Scotland stage, whit kilts and a real bagpiper. As usual all ended with a disco feeling!
750,000 Fans will see her show: 6 Madison Square Garden Shows sold out in one day, 4 Wembley Arena Shows sold out in one day, 18 Semi Trucks will carry equipment including special 'Turntable' stage, 40 Tons is the weight of the stage, 55 Tons of above ground equipment including sound, lights, videos and speakers, 1 Full truck to house Madonna's wardrobe and makeup, 30 Trunks will carry wardrobe of entire touring company, 110 People will travel on the road, 12 Tons of sound equipment in air, 12 Dancers, 1 Skateboarder, 5 Musicians, 2 Background vocalists, 1 Bagpipe player, 25 Cases of Kaballah Water provided backstage nightly (backstage beverage of choice), 18 Dressing Rooms in each venue for touring entourage, 58 Minutes for Madonna to get hair and makeup completed before show, 8 Minutes for Madonna to do warmup on Pilates stretch ball, 1 Large cup of Throat Coat Honey Lemon Tea consumed by Madonna prior to start of show, 3 Ricola cough drops consumed by Madonna prior to start of show, 5 Costume changes, 1 Children's Play room backstage.
During this show Jhonas Akerlund filmed a new documentary about Madonna's life on stage... we'r all still waiting to see what's this about!
